In our Families and faith communities, how can we cultivate a sense of responsibility for building a society in which the dignity of each person is recognized and protected?
- Human dignity justifies human rights. When people are separated and assigned a value based on characteristics such as class, gender, religion, and so on, an unequal society with rampant discrimination ensues. Care with dignity boosts a person's self-esteem by acknowledging and not undermining their strengths and goals. Respect for what they can do, who they are, and the life they've lived is an important component. We can create a sense of responsibility by sharing our expertise about caring for our shared habitat. By refusing to accept bigotry and treating all people equally, regardless of money, gender, age, ethnicity, or other factors. We can encourage this sense of responsibility by communicating with them in a way that they can understand. Because everyone wants to help those in need, having responsibility might help us grow as a family and as a community.
2. How does your own participation in one or more communities enable you to contribute toward creating a global community in God’s Vision of justice?
- The global community is significant because it brings together people from all over the world who share similar values and perspectives. We owe it to one another because we share one planet and one destiny, regardless of where we live or how different our traditions are. Participation in the community provides opportunities for self-development and contribution. Participating in a project that benefits society, for example, may give you a sense of fulfillment and significance. Participating in a hobby in a community group, formal and casual volunteering, and making a meaningful contribution through your professional career are all examples. There are several ways to give back to your community. Because of my personal participation in one or more communities, I may contribute to the building of a global community founded on God's ideal of justice. Simply walking outside allows us to connect with God's creatures. We are already caring for God's creation by decreasing our trash. We have all been entrusted with the specific responsibility of caring for God's creation. Giving to those in need of food, clothing, or even financial assistance is one way to get involved because I am demonstrating my compassion for others by assisting them in even the most insignificant ways. This is an image of God's goal of justice. God's ideal of justice is most evident in us through our love for one another. A relationship with youth has a huge influence on God's vision of justice since a biblical view on justice entails loving our neighbor as we love ourselves. My involvement in one or more communities enables me to contribute to the development of a global community based on God's vision of justice. Furthermore, God's concept of fairness urges us to assist people in need of food, clothes, or even financial assistance.
